The Jackson Milling & Lumber Story

Jackson Milling & Lumber was founded over 30 years ago by George Jackson. He had been a general contractor building apartments and houses with his father for years. Familiar with lumber and the milling industry, especially in relation to houses and living spaces, he decided to focus on his expertise in milling and lumber. 

We were originally known as Jackson Milling and Custom Sawing, beginning as a smaller operation in Burbank, working with George's contacts in the industry and just a few saws and machines. Following the family tradition, his children have all worked with him at different times since the company's founding. A father-son duo has been on our team since the early 2000s working in the grind room and the running the moulder.

Being in business over 30 years doesn't come lightly. It has given us the knowledge to help you figure out how to best finish your project as well as the expertise to get it done in the best way.  

All of our products are crafted by professionals who care about your individual product. They are experts at what they do and your satisfaction is their top priority. We have a small team dedicated to responsiveness and quality care. You can trust us to communicate with you clearly, often, and well.
