Custom & Historic

We can match any sample and manufacture them for you whether new design or historic.

The Custom Milling Process

1. Sample or Designs

Samples are pulled from a part of an existing structure that is under renovation or in disrepair. These pieces are then brought into the shop so we can use the sample to match the design. If it is difficult to find a piece of millwork that can be cut off and brought, please call us and we can work out how to get the exact measurements. If you're working from a custom design please bring in that plan/design.

2. Making the Profile and Blades

We'll take your sample to produce wood molding pieces and then grind down steel into a blade for our molder that will recreate the sample.

3. Running the Molder

To manufacture the product we set up the molder and run your wood through! This involves setting the blades into the heads and watching carefully as each piece is finished.

4. Your Designs Come to Life

Once the product has made its way through our system it's ready to be picked up and installed!

Historical Work

Reproducing a historical piece can be a difficult and costly affair. We have worked on many historical preservation projects in the past including work for the City of Pasadena. With our expertise, trust us to ensure your historical home looks just as it did when it was first built, or maintain your sympathetic restorative look.

We create perfect jambs and casings for your windows and doors. Don't trust pre-made jambs on your custom doors, get them made right. We can also provide all sorts of non-wood custom doors. From full glass to solid core wood, both interior and exterior, for projects of all kinds.
